Cuillin Mountains, Skye
This shot was taken as a time exposure. The base exposure was established (eg 1/4 sec. @ f2.8) and then the lens closed down to lengthen the time required (ie 16 secs @ f22). Allowing a stop for reciprocity gives approx. 30 sec exposure. The shutter was opened for 10 secs. then covered for 20 secs, then opened again and so on. The exposure is 30 secs but spread over 70 secs giving the blurred cloud effect & sharp hill line.
