June 2008 Late spring/early summer is magical in the northern isles. I enjoy visiting Orkney at this time of year and The Ring of Brodgar is a favourite location. The cool mornings sometimes create mist which floats off the loch around the stones and as the sun rises the effects can be quite magical.
