Fire, Yellowstone The 1988 fire in Yellowstone National Park damaged 800,000 acres, around 36% of the park. These lodgepole pines were both charred by the fire and weather bleached over the intervening years. I used a slow shutter speed and moved the camera down during the exposure to give this blurred and abstract effect of the dark and light contrast.
