Belnahua Belnahua is one of the slate islands of Argyll and is now long-abandoned. The only evidence of the industry here are the crumbling ruins of the slate quarriers houses and the huge hole in the centre of the island from where millions of tons of slate were extracted. In any other country this would be a heritage site, but here it lies crumbling in the wild atlantic weather. | |||||||
