Clava Cairns

Clava, behind Inverness, receives few visitors relative to the many tens of thousands who annually visit the nearby Culloden Battlefield. Clava has some fascinating 'passage cairns' and a surrounding ring of standing stones, such as the fine example pictured. The site dates from at least 2000BC.
