Waters edge at sunset

A winter afternoon, and the rise and fall of the wave swell left a water mark on the rock. I waited until the sun was on the horizon and the colour turned to gold. The reflections from the setting sun on the wet rock left a sheen of burnished copper. Our west coast is a wonderful unspoilt environment, rich in natural resources but is a busy sea lane and is at constant risk from oil and toxic pollution.
